A Trip with the Kids to Massabesic Audubon Center
by TK July 22nd, 2008 | HikingA hot and humid Saturday in July did not stop two of my kids and I from enjoying some of the outdoors.
On this weekend day in New Hampshire, we decided to go to the Massabesic Audobon Center in Auburn. It is a small center with a couple trails that are 1 to 2 miles long and an educational center.

One of my all-time favorite outdoors activities is camping. My family usually goes to Pawtuckaway State Park in New Hampshire. It is not too far away from where we live, and it's a great place to camp. Not only does the campground have your typical forest setting, but it also has a lake that you can use. There are even spots that allow you have that island-side feel. It has a store, beach, playground, fields, and more. It's a ton of fun to camp there, especially if you are with a family.

Having spent this past Sunday hiking Mount Monadnock, my fiance and I were curious about an urban legend. Is this mountain the second most hiked mountain in the world?
Upon completing our hike, we stopped at the park ranger station and asked. The reply we were given is that Mount Monadnock is the third most hiked mountain in the world. The ranking is as follows:
