If you are looking for the best trails or locations for outdoor activities, like biking, boating, camping, hiking, fishing, or climbing, NH Outdoors is a very valuable Website. The aesthetics of the site, I will admit, definitely could use some work. When I first saw the site, I hesitated to follow the links, fearing it might be one of those trap advertisement sites. Nevertheless, I followed the links and was surprised by the great selection of information.
NH Outdoors is organized by the type of activity or location in which you are interested. For example, golfing, skateboarding, skiing, and biking are among the many topics

The First Year of Skiing in Review
by Jacob P. April 21st, 2009 | Skiing
Right now, I am just rounding up my thoughts from my first year of skiing. Quite frankly, I fell in love with skiing. I love the feeling of cold wind whipping against my coat, hearing snow crunch beneath my poles, and seeing my skis glide over powder. There is, well, nothing like it. I have a few more thoughts that I'll share below.
Here are some of what I thought were the best things. First off, I thought doing my school's ski club was awesome! There is nothing like skiing with a ton of your friends! Often we skied in groups as large

Stand Up Paddle Board

Rowing down the Charles River and looking ahead at the Mass. Avenue bridge, I saw a sight that confused me. Heading for the MIT boathouse, there was this man who appeared to be drifting across the river. He was standing straight on his legs, but I could see his arms moving. He appeared to be paddling with some sort of an oar, a very long one.
Coming closer to him, I saw that he was standing on what looked like a surfboard. It was probably one of the most interesting things I've ever seen on the Charles! It was just this

Hike Up and Ski Right on Down
by Bea April 7th, 2009 | Hiking, Skiing
Now here's something that I hope to do sometime in the near future. Are you like me, and are in search of backcountry powder? Well, there are a few mountains that offer opportunities like this, but one that I am certain about is Mt. Abram. Mt. Abram, located in Greenwood, Maine, just off Route 26 and right after Norway, is a great place to be on Wednesdays. For only $10 you can sign in for safety purposes, leave a phone number, and then hike up as far as you would like until you reach a point when you want to ski down.
