by TK December 23rd, 2010 | Outdoor Activities, Outdoors Products
Getting the perfect gift for outdoor enthusiast in your life can always be an adventure.  Firstly, most of them already have every thing they could need for his/her chosen activity.  Secondly, a lot of outside activities do not need a lot of gear or gadgets so the options for the perfect gift to put under the tree are far and few between.

Where Is My Snow?

by Bea December 21st, 2010 | Outdoor Activities, Winter Activities
If you are me and live within 3 hours of Boston, it looks like you are going to have to travel to find your snow this Christmas. Who knows, maybe we will be lucky and get a surprise snowstorm, or at least a dusting to make it look like we have some, but at this point, I'm predicting bare grounds.

Slowly, but surely, the mountains of the East Coast have been opening for the 2010-2011 skiing and riding season. Many of the mountains, such as Sunday River, have only been open on the weekends.

While I am still waiting for the day when the mountains are open 7 days a week, I definitely agree with their business choices of only being open on the weekends. In addition to the component of  making more money because the demand to ski would not be high during the weekdays at this point, it also means that the mountains can focus on snow making
