Living about one hour from the nearest ocean beach, this weekend I was in desperate need of spending some time on the water. Seeing as the massive Lake Pontchartrain is only about four miles away, I delved into research on what sort of water activities one can do on a lake, in the fall. I stumbled upon the water sport of kiteboarding, which come to find out, is one of the most popular beach water sports that can also be done on a lake. It is nearing autumn, and water sports are winding down for the season in much of the country; however, there are a few ways to take to the rivers, lakes, or seas that grace your region before the first snowfall. And luckily, the summer crowds have gone, making for a far more pleasurable experience. After doing some research and combining some of my favorite autumn water sports, I have compiled a must do list for this autumn.
